SEAD Key Objectives

SEAD objectives as stipulated in the constitution are;-

• First, to unite all disabled in the country.
• Second, to mobilize all disabled persons to participate fully in the struggle for socio economic development in the larger community.
• Third, to educate disabled persons in particular and the entire community in general about the rights of the disabled persons and to enable them understanding that disabled  persons have equal ability like other people without disability counterparts in contributing fully for national growth.
• Fourth, to cooperate with the government and non state actors within and outside the country in service delivery to the community of people with disabilities.
• Fifth, to analyze the needs of disabled persons and participate in planning, implementing and evaluating such services as education, culture, training, rehabilitation, employment as well as other services deemed important to the people with disabilities  in the country.
• Sixth, to corporate with other organizations/Institutions in developing efforts in cure and eye treatment service delivery.
• Seventh, to empower people with disabilities be independent and lead their lives in their own settings.
• Eighth, to lobby to the government and its instruments to implement national and international decisions regarding the growth and prosperity of disabled persons and
• Ninth, to build and strengthen good relations among disabled persons as a community in particular and the entire community in general.

Currently SEAD is looking partners who will collaborate with him in facilitating different project for the benefits of his members. In due course we ask the collaboration with your foreign fares so as to enable SEAD meet its objectives which will greater be help full to disabilities in Tanzania. Due to these short notes we are sure that you will be in a good position to say something about the collaboration.
